A women's weekend of Journaling, Yoga, & Guided Meditation
UPDATE: CANCELLED DUE TO COVID
Join us as we use the creative act of writing and the mindful practices of yoga and meditation to develop our voice, awaken our senses, and enliven our hearts. All women are invited! We want to throw open our doors—or in this case, the tent flaps of our glamping circle—and usher in new experiences, new connections, and fresh perspectives. No prior writing or yoga experience necessary.

Women's weekend retreat

Hawley Farm Glamping, 3406 NE Hardy Drive, Hamilton, Missouri

Journaling, Yoga, and Meditation
We'll tap into our creative flow with scheduled group writing, yoga, and meditation sessions. During our writing periods, we'll gather together with notebooks in hand and use thoughtful prompts to unleash our inner voice. For any of you who already journal (and it's okay if you haven't!), you know the feeling of joy and release that comes with expressing yourself on the page. We'll take it a step further by inviting you to share your writing with the group, a powerful experience that always brings surprising insights to readers and listeners alike. Our goal is to foster a spirit of gentle, receptive, non-judgmental togetherness; even so, we realize that some may feel too vulnerable to share their writing, so reading aloud is always optional.
In between our scheduled sessions, you'll have plenty of time for naps, silence, and solo writing, reading, walking, or swimming in the pond.
Lodging
No need to bring a sleeping bag—each tent is furnished with its own bed, bed linens, a small table, and decorative lights. Participants will have their own tent for the weekend.
Dining
Chef Anna Paradise will provide tasty meals for the group, starting with Friday dinner and running through Sunday breakfast. We'll be eating fresh and local, but not formal! Meals will be served family style, allowing us the opportunity to relax, get to know one another, and enjoy dining al fresco. Prefer to take your breakfast off to the pond or on a trail? You can do that too. This weekend is all about feeding your creativity and growing connections—and that includes connecting to yourself. And don't forget to bring any snacks or adult beverages you may want.
What's the cost and what does it include?
After months of lockdowns, quarantines, and ongoing social distancing, Gigi, Amy, and Anna feel the need for connection just as much as you do. Like you, we want to breathe in the fresh air, stretch our bodies, let our minds wander and our pens scribble, and do it all in the community of others. Because we know that the current situation has caused financial challenges for many, we've made a group decision to offer this inaugural retreat at a cost that will just cover our expenses.
The $375 price includes:
- tent lodging for two nights; the tents are built for two, but each person will have her own tent for the weekend
- dinner on Friday, three meals on Saturday, and a farewell breakfast on Sunday
- multiple daily group writing sessions with prompts and activities, and the opportunity to share your words with the group (or not)
- guided meditation sessions to limber up your mind and fuel your creativity
- gentle yoga sessions to reconnect with your body, your mind, and the world around us
- optional activities, including: hiking; swimming in the pond; sharing stories and laughs around the campfire
Connect & Create: Journaling, Yoga, and Guided Meditation
Price: $375
Early Bird Price: $333 (if you sign up before July 6)
(Why $333? According to Gigi, the number three signifies inspiration, imagination, creation, and kindness. The perfect number for our retreat with you!)
